Owens Armory will host the Sickness For Distance Battle Royale precision rifle match as a National Level shooting match of National Rifle Leagues 2017 Season!
January 25, 2017 Santa Ana, CA The National Rifle League, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through a range of outdoors-related public interest activities, revealed earlier this month that the second match of the 2017 season will be the Sickness For Distance Battle Royale hosted by Owens Armory.
The 2-day precision rifle match will take place between April 29th-30th at Gunsite Academy located in Paulden, AZ.
The cost will be $250 per person. Competitors should expect the match to have a mix of both long-range hunting and practical precision shooting scenarios.
Nick Beard Owens and Felipe Tomas Meraz will be co-directors for the match. Felipe has five years of experience in the precision rifle industry as a sponsor, match director, range officer, and competitor. Nick, owner of Owens Armory, names this his first national level match as a director, and has seven years of experience in the precision rifle industry.
The 2017 Owens Armory Battle Royale is an excellent addition to the National Rifle Leagues match roster. Nick and Felipe are both very experienced match shooters and big game hunters. I think their backgrounds are going to add a unique flavor to this match. Combine those guys with a location as legendary as Gunsite Acadamy, and we have a recipe for an amazing match! stated Tyler Frehner, Director of Match Operations for the National Rifle League.
