Monster Lake Mayhem

Monster Lake Mayhem presented by Gunwerks is the third match of NRL’s 2018 Season

Santa Ana, CA – The National Rifle League (NRL), a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through a range of outdoors-related public interest activities, announced today that the third match of the 2018 season will be the Monster Lake Mayhem, presented by Gunwerks.

The 2-day match will take place April 14th-15th, 2018 in Cody, WY. This will be the first NRL sanctioned match ever held in Wyoming. The match will feature 2 entirely different shooting ranges, with 13 unique field fire stages at each range. Day 1 will take place on Monster Lake Ranch, where competitors can expect to shoot against a fire fan. While Day 2 will take place at Cody Shooting Complex, where competitors can expect a fast-paced square range style. Registration cost is $250 per person.

Scott Satterlee will be the match director for Monster Lake Mayhem. Scott is the Director of Shooting Instruction at Gunwerks, and has been involved in the firearms industry for 10 years. He is currently a part of the Rock Lake Rifle Range shooting club.

“A super simple, realistic, straight forward course of fire that will test every aspect of their abilities. Half the match will be hunting,” Satterlee on what competitors can expect from his match. “I’m super excited to be a part of the NRL. At some point I would like to see a World Championship match.”

Registration for Monster Lake Mayhem is now open to both NRL Members and the public. The match will be open on a first come basis.

For the past 10 Years, Gunwerks has established its reputation by building and delivering complete shooting systems. From the bipod to the ballistic turret and everything in between, the Gunwerks shooting system comes ready to go. While other manufacturers were letting customers mount their own scopes and test their own loads, Gunwerks was delivering a shooting system capable of shooting accurately to 1000 yards, right out of the box. Taking the responsibility for a dialed in system is not an easy task. In fact, we spend more time turning a rifle into a shooting system than building the rifle! Our motto is “1000 Yards, Out of the Box!”. For more information, please visit:
