The AxisWorks Long Range Challenge kicks-off the the 2019 NRL Season
The 2-day match will take place February 16-17, 2019 at Big Sandy Range near Wikieup, AZ. This will be the first match put on by AxisWorks for the NRL. The match will be a good mix of positional and prone/modified prone stages, with mostly generous target sizes. There will be 10 stages Saturday, and 10 stages on Sunday with lunch provided on Saturday, snack provided on Sunday, followed by dinner at the awards ceremony. Spectators are welcomed at the match, please check in with the match director when you arrive at the range to sign a waiver.
Christopher Tressler and Rusty Ulmer will be the co-match directors for the AxisWorks Long Range Challenge. Christopher co-directed the Owen’s Armory Battle Royale last year, and continues to give back and promote the sport. “Expect a field match with practical and hunting type stage scenarios, with minimal down time. There will be a moving target stage, and social events on Friday and Saturday night,” Tressler said on what competitors can expect from the match.
Rusty is top shooter for the National Rifle League. “Christopher asked me to do it, and it sounded like a good way to “give back” to all of the people who have helped me along the way. Plus, I’ve had so many stage designs in my head that I’ve wanted to try,” Rusty said on why he decided to become a match director.
Registration for the AxisWorks Long Range Challenge is now SOLD-OUT.
