Frontline Defense will host the Absolute Zero Summer Shootout as the seventh match in the 2018 NRL Season

Santa Ana, CA – The National Rifle League (NRL), a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through a range of outdoors-related public interest activities, announced today that the seventh match of the 2018 season will be the Absolute Zero Summer Shootout, presented by Frontline Defense USA.

The 2-day match will take place June 2nd-3rd, 2018 at Frontline Defense firearms training center and range in Warrenton, NC. Frontline Defense hosted the opening match of the 2018 season earlier this year, which was also the first east coast NRL match in history. Registration cost will be $275 per person.

“We’re proud to have such an experienced match director creating new, challenging, and fun courses of fire for competitors – all at an impressive facility on the East Coast,” said Brittney Weldon, NRL Director of Marketing. “Paul’s previous NRL match brought together competitors from across the nation, and we suspect this summer match to do the same.”

Paul Smith will be the match director for the Summer Shootout. Paul has been involved in the firearms and precision rifle industry for 10+ years. His service in the military began with the 1st of the 75th Army Airborne Rangers, followed by commanding the US Army Special Reaction Team’s Sniper Unit at Fort Rucker. After, he wanted to find a way to share these positive experiences with friends and family, so became involved with the NRA and completed the NC Concealed Carry Course of Instruction. More recently he graduated from the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Course among other instructor courses — helping him further serve the needs of the community. He has had experience being an instructor, range officer, and match director. Paul has also competed in matches such as VPRC, Guardian Long Range, Woody’s DMM, and the K&M SEPRCA Finale.

Registration for the Absolute Zero Summer Shootout is open, and on a first come basis.
