Becky Otterman Competed at her first national long range match at the Mile-High Shootout
Getting ready for my first national long range competition has been an amazing experience – To challenge myself in the different stages, and go against some of the best shooters in the country.
My squad was an awesome group of people and was so helpful in helping me become a better shooter. During the competition my bipod broke, and I was given another one by someone in my squad to finish. Everyone in my squad was always asking how I was doing, and if I did not do so well on a stage they would tell me, Move. There is so much more to accomplish!
At the end of day there was an awards ceremony, and a member of my squad received an award. He used a regular hunting rifle the whole match, and no matter what, he had a smile. So to help him set up better for next time, they gave him a custom 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle. He was so honored, humbled, and surprised that this group of people could do this for him.
So to say the least, I am so very grateful for this opportunity and cant wait for the next competition.
