20/21 NRL Championship

20/21 National Rifle League Championship

MD: Jim See, Tate Streater

Location: Earlsboro, Oklahoma

Dates: Apr 30 – May 2, 2021

Cost: $300

Congratulations! You have qualified for the 2020 National Rifle League Championship. We are working hard on designing a tough but fair course of fire for the championship match. We should have the course of fire completely designed, set up and proofed by next Friday, March the 30th. Our goal is to test you guys and girls across the board on both positional stages and Oklahoma troop lines that Oklahoma is known for. Details and recommendations are listed below.

Food included will be lunch on Saturday, a snack on Sunday around lunch time and dinner at the awards ceremony.

Water and Gatorade will be available around the course of fire on both days. Beer and wine will be available at the awards banquet. No liquor is allowed at the venue so please abide.

Location: Pin will be provided. Range is appr 1.75miles north of the intersection of hwy 9 and hwy 48. East into double gate and follow signs. It will be a fairly rough pasture road to the shooting location. The road could be very slick if we have rain. The intersection of 9 and 48 is approximately 9 miles west of Wetumka, OK for reference.

Round Count will be +/-210 rounds. We plan on shooting 20 stages, 10 stages each day.

Shooters can expect ranges from 300-1200 yards. The majority of your shots will be from 400-880 yards. You will be required to carry your gear all day, there will be some very minor hiking so please plan accordingly. Chamber flags will be required during the match and for all range activities. No exceptions. ROs will have chamber flags on hand at each stage if something happens and you need one.

Travel

Airports

OKC will most likely be your best bet and what I would recommend.

Tulsa, OK is another option

Lodging

Seminole, OK is the most centrally located town with a hotel. It is a small town that has limited options for eating and any last minute things you need to pick up. The only hotel I would recommend in Seminole is the Best Western Plus. I called them earlier in the week and they had 48 rooms available.

Shawnee, OK will add about 20 minutes (Total drive time will be close to 37 minutes) on to your drive to the range but has a wider range of options for hotels. It will probably have about anything that you need to pick up last minute and it has a fairly wide variety of good food options. Shawnee is only about 20 minutes from the awards on Sunday and will put you closer to the airport if you plan on flying out early Monday morning.

If close to the range is your number one priority, I’d try to book in Seminole. If nicer accommodations and more options for food get you going, Shawnee is probably for you.
